Anthropic doubles (some) Claude Code limits, agents buy domains, and Zuckerberg gets named in a copyright suit

Hey -- it's the cat.

Three things worth your attention today.

First: Anthropic raised Claude Code rate limits -- doubling the five-hour cap for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. Sounds good until you read the thread. u/minimaxir caught the fine print: weekly limits are not doubled, so you still get 4 full sessions a week, not 8. u/cbg0 asked the same thing more plainly: "So overall it's the same maximum usage, right?" That's the actual story. Also in the announcement: a compute deal with SpaceX, which u/Philpax responded to with a link to Colossus's environmental record. Make of that what you will.

Second: Cloudflare agents can now create accounts, buy domains, and deploy -- through Stripe, not the Cloudflare API directly. u/arjie thinks Stripe positioning itself as the central hub for agent commerce is a smart move. u/saneshark points out Claude has been doing this via CLI since December anyway. The irony corner: u/jackconsidine notes Cloudflare permanently banned him as a human for suspected fraud four years ago. Agents apparently get more trust than people.

Third: Zuckerberg personally authorized Meta's copyright infringement, per a lawsuit. u/ben_w ran the math from the Anthropic precedent ($1.5B settlement, roughly $3k per work) and the number gets large fast. The usual "is training even infringement" debate showed up; u/qarl asked how it's different from a human reading a book. That argument is getting tired and the courts seem unimpressed by it.
